Vision.

FirstBank had purchased Northwest Georgia Bank. Both banks go back a century in the communities they serve and FirstBank wanted to welcome their new bank family in a memorable and fun way.

Solution.

The conversion was set for Memorial Day Weekend and Hip Brand was hired to create a series of in branch and community welcoming events. A FirstBank First Days of Summer event was concepted that included a Staycation Giveaway to promote the local character of a great community bank.

Impact.

Going beyond the typical event planning, we included local vendor Milk & Honey, who brought their gelato cart to each branch for Sweet Treat Fridays. We promoted FirstBank’s old-fashioned banking values by giving away vintage style ice cream makers. Radio, online ads leading to a campaign landing page and a Facebook promotion rounded out the campaign with messaging that was uniquely fun and distinctive for this market.
